Tracy D. Petersen

Tracy D. Petersen, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on August 17, 1970, Tracy was a dedicated individual who cherished his family and friends deeply.
As the son of Dennis and Nancy Petersen, he grew up in a loving household that instilled strong values and work ethic. Tracy graduated from Weber High School, where he forged lasting relationships that continue to enrich his life. His commitment to family and tradition led him to work for Petersen Marine, the family business, where he dedicated his entire professional life.
Outside of work, Tracy found joy in several hobbies that allowed him to connect with nature and share experiences with loved ones. His passions included boating, water skiing, and four-wheeling, activities that brought him immense happiness and fulfillment. However, his most cherished moments were spent traveling to North Dakota with family to hunt pheasants, a tradition that bonded him further with those he held dear.
Tracy is survived by his mother, Nancy Petersen; his brother Todd (Cindy) Petersen, and their children Britnee (Alex) Call and Braxton (Kenzie) Petersen; as well as his brother Corey (Staci) Petersen and their children Savanna and Cole. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Petersen, along with several grandparents, whose memories will always be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
A viewing will take place in honor of Tracy on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leavitt’s Mortuary, located at 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
Tracy D. Petersen leaves behind a legacy of love, passion for life, and devotion to family that will forever resonate within the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those he loved.
