Nicki “Nick” Terkelson

Nov 12, 2024

July 18, 1947 — November 10, 2024

Beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, nephew, and great friend Nick Terkelson passed away November 10, 2024, at the age of 77. Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, on July 18, 1947, to Carlos and Veva Terkelson.

He grew up hunting with his brother, Kenny, until he met the love of his life, Ellen Anna Smith. He served in the Army as PFC in the Vietnam War, from 1966 to 1968. When he came home, he married Ellen on November 15, 1969. They had two beautiful daughters, Linda and Lisi “Lisa”. He gained a son through marriage who was his pride and joy. Santi has been the best addition to take care of all his girls.

He was a father figure to many; he loved all his children with compassion and depth. He was also a grandfather to Shambrae, who he took over the father role for. Teaching her all the things a father should. Being with her every day, taking her on all the adventures, and teaching her to live her life through the Lord. He then became a great-grandfather to Lincoln. She was his world, spending time with her was his joy in life. She loved her Bampa so much. He was a grandfather to many as well. He loved everyone with his big heart.

Nick loved to spend time with his beloved wife, Ellen. They would host all the holiday parties at their home and do all the cooking for them. They enjoyed going on drives to Antelope Island and getting a burger and sitting on the porch swing feeding the birds. He enjoyed coffee in the morning at Moore’s to see his aunt Lisa, brother Kenny, and uncle Dick. He loved to take care of his lawn and his truck but most importantly his family. He attended Canyon Road Assembly of God since 1986 faithfully. Nick was known for his love of America and Jesus!

Nick is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Linda and Lisa; granddaughters, Shambrae and Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles. He will be reunited with family and a granddaughter, Kylie Skye that he never got to meet. He’s up in heaven partying with them all.

He’s finally out of all his pain! – Amen.
