David Bruce Carrington

David Bruce Carrington, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family member, and dear friend passed away from congestive heart failure at the age of 80 on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born in Hackensack, New Jersey on 5 May 1944, to Arthur Fredrick and Emily (Knee) Carrington. David was the last of five children.

On 9 September 1983, David Bruce Carrington married Kathryn Ann Taylor, who he spent the last 41 years with.

David Bruce is the proud father of eight children, John (Janine) Manley, Sheri Gail (Mike) Folsom, Ronald Manley, Sherlene Carrington, Patsy Smart, David Al Carrington, James Young, and Cassidy Ann Carrington.

David was known for his work ethic, determination, faith, resiliency and innovative mind. You could always find him working on airplanes, lawn mowers, and his old Buick that he restored from start to finish. He had a knack for yard work. He was always praised for how beautiful his yard looked. He had a dream of being a crop duster when he was a young boy and when he came of age, he got his pilot’s license.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Arthur Fredrick and Emily (Knee) Carrington; his sisters, Alice, Joan, and Arthea; brother, Arthur; and his oldest daughter, Sheri Gail Folsom; along with his beloved extended family and friends.

Survived by wife, Kathryn “Kathy”; daughters, Sherlene, Patsy, and Cassidy; sons, John, Ronald, David Al, and James; sisters, Ruth, and Edwinna; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Indeed, a life well lived.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, Utah. Pastor Gary Fellenz will officiate the services and offer a final blessing.
