Geraldine Mary Penman Loock
1932 — 2024
Geraldine Penman Loock passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2024, at her home in West Weber Utah. The same house and bedroom she was born in on October 28th, 1932. She was the youngest of three girls born to Charles and Mary Reid Penman.
Geri attended Weber County schools and after graduating from Weber High School she attended Business School and worked retail.
Geri married Max G. Loock on February 19th, 1955. Together they raised 7 children. Max passed away on September 16th, 2016.
Geri worked various occupations before beginning her career at the Internal Revenue Service, enjoying friendships that lasted beyond retirement with regular lunch dates.
Geri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in various callings throughout the years.
Geri was active in the Farm Bureau, Utah Trail and Endurance Riders, and the Back Country Horsemen. She enjoyed camping, riding horses, riding ATV’s, snowmobiling, and spending time with family. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan. Geri was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Her Sunday dinners, Rigatoni Christmas parties, and Chili cattle drives, and Halloween get togethers hold special memories to all who attended. Her strawberry yum-yum and brownie sheet cake have been family favorites for many years and are still a must have at family gatherings.
Geri is survived by five children: Kent (Tina) Loock, Linda (Bert) Opheikens, Barbara (Layne) Eddy, Sheri Uragami, Kris (Paul) Stromberg, 20 Grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her husband Max, sons Dennis (Thelma) Loock and Michael (Susan Draper) Loock, two grandsons, one great grandson and one great-great grandson.

A viewing will be held December 28th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd Ogden Utah, followed by the burial at West Weber Cemetery.
