Patrica A. Glasmann

Dec 20, 2024

August 12, 1954 — December 19, 2024

By divine default, I am tasked to write my mom’s obituary. Patricia A Glasmann was born August 12, 1954, in Fillmore, Utah and passed away December 19, 2024, of unknown, yet natural causes at her daughter’s house.

Pat, never Patty, grew up in Flowell, Utah with her father, Arthur Rex Allen, mother, Beth Despain Allen, and six siblings, Louise, Marlene, LaDawn, Cindy, David, and Sheri. Being the middle child of such an unruly bunch, she found herself always having friends and support through life. Visiting family in Flowell was always a highlight of her life. Pat graduated from Millard High School, Class of 1972. She then went to Southern Utah University out of high school where she made lifelong friends. She later graduated from Professional Hair Design beauty school and started her lifelong career of being a hairdresser. She enjoyed getting to know all her clients that sat in her chair.

She met my dad, Bill (William) through his brother, Rod, in 1980 where she charmed him with her sparkling eyes and equally sparkly personality. They married on August 27, 1981, and had their only child, Alicia, in 1988. Early in their marriage my parents owned several nightclubs that brought many adventures I am not privy to know about as their daughter to this day. Later they enjoyed going on whatever adventures I would suggest, such cruises and Disneyland with my family and my in-laws creating memories together with the grandkids.

My mom was very involved in everything I did, from being a lunch lady in elementary school to helping sew ballet costumes in high school. I loved being her shadow and learning how to be witty, caring, and fun. Pat was always the life of the party and everyone’s rock when needed. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held several callings. She was an avid purse collector, the more secret pockets the better and loved the color green. Pat has three granddaughters, Zoey, Ava, and Quinn, whom she loved dearly. She would often pick them up on early out days and take them to get fast food, which they enjoyed because they could easily talk her into ordering all the treats they don’t usually get to have.

Pat is survived by her husband, Bill Glasmann; daughter, Alicia (Chris) Glascock; granddaughters, Zoey, Ava, and Quinn; stepson, Jason (Gina) Glasmann and their children, Brock (Sarah), Gage, Tyler, and Jade; siblings, Marline (Kevin) Christensen, Louise (Jerry) Imlay, LaDawn Berkey, Cindy (Paul) Astle, David (Vicki) Allen, Sheri (Jim) Robison; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beth.

I would like to thank Ogden Regional Medical Center medical unit staff and doctors, Peterson Farms Assisted Living, and Atlas Hospice for their exceptional care.

It has been an honor to be able to learn how to properly cheat in card games, be a caring human, and amazing mom through you. I promise to stay sweet always until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
