Beverle Cozzens Call
1928 – 2024
Beverle Cozzens Call, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on September 12, 1928, in Montpelier, Idaho, to William D’Orr Cozzens and Harriet Short Cozzens.
Beverle was raised and educated in Ogden, Utah, where she graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College. On March 18, 1948, she married Dee K. Call in the Salt Lake City Temple, and they enjoyed a loving partnership until Dee’s passing. Together, they raised a family and built a legacy of faith, service, and love.
An active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Beverle served in numerous ward and stake positions throughout her life. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her church family were central to her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, humility, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Beverle is survived by her four sons: Michael (Carol) Call, Jeffrey (Cindy) Call, Kelly (Lisa) Call, and Todd (Sandra) Call; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee K. Call; her parents; her brother, Douglas Cozzens (and his wife, Eva Mary Campbell Cozzens); and her grandchildren Seth Jeffrey Call and Abbie Jane Call, as well as her great-great-grandchildren Ethan Lucas Call and Lola Call.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal memorial services will be held. Beverle requested that those who wish to honor her memory do so by performing an act of kindness for someone in need. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to spend quality time with loved ones and cherish life’s precious moments.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported Beverle with their kindness and service in her final days. Your prayers, well-wishes, and sympathy have been a comfort to us all.
As per Beverle’s request, a private graveside service will be held on Saturday.
