Terry Richard Teigeler
April 20, 1945 – December 1, 2024
Dr. Terry R Teigeler was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 20, 1945. The son of Richard Ernest Teigeler and Maxine Eliot Painter. He moved to Ogden at the age of 12.
Terry attended Weber State University and completed a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Biological Sciences in 1967. He taught school in Vista California, before completing a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from BYU in 1974. He then completed a Doctorate of Educational Administration degree from the University of Nebraska, in 1976. From 1977 to 1981 he worked in continuing education at Weber State University. From 1982 to 2007 he was the director of the USU Brigham City Center and the Utah State University Center for Graduate Studies in Ogden, after his retirement from USU in 2006, he became an education advisor for the Community College of the Air Force on Hill Air Force Base until 2010.
Terry had numerous hobbies and simply enjoyed “keeping busy.” He specifically enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, and collecting records and many other items. He also enjoyed the adventure of treasure hunting.
Terry married Kathleen Willardson in 1969. They were later divorced. He married Ana Maria Santiago on March 3, 2001 and they have spent many happy and enjoyable years as an eternal couple.
Terry and Ana Maria moved to Perry, Utah in May of 2006.
Surviving are his wife, Ana Maria, and their four children, Michelle Lowham (Craig) of Lyman, Wyoming; Dayne Richard Teigeler (Emerald) of Providence, Utah; Ret. First Sergeant Alfredo Juan Otero (Angelica) of Spanaway, Washington; and a daughter Marimar Otero-Rojas (Josue) of Riverdale, Utah. Terry and Ana Maria, have 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Terry’s Viewing and Funeral will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Brigham City, Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah 84302. The viewing will be from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at the Mountain Green, Utah Cemetery. Just east of Ogden up Weber Canyon.
