Connie Taylor Bybee

Aug 17, 2024

May 27, 1942 — August 14, 2024

The matriarch of our family, Connie Taylor Bybee, of Riverdale, Utah, passed away on August 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 82. Connie was born in Plain City, Utah, on May 27, 1942, to Junior E. “JR” and Fern Hartley Taylor.

She went to Weber High School and has remained close with many of her classmates. Connie worked at Bell’s Photography where she made many great friendships.

Connie married Clark Bybee on October 6, 1962 in Elko Nevada and were later sealed in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple in 2010. Together they have three children, Kam Bybee, Steve Bybee, and Jamie Cassell. They raised their family in Uintah, Utah.

She and Clark spent countless hours driving around Plain City and anywhere they pointed the car. She remained a Plain City gal her entire life, (she was a true Plain City girl). Her favorite weekly destination was Maddox drive-in. Connie and Clark spent many winters at their home in Yuma AZ, while making memories and lifelong friends.

She loved to teach her creative card making class at the Riverdale Senior Center, creating many friendships there. Connie’s interests were scrapbooking, making cards, calendars etc. for her family. She loved taking photos and creating family photo albums which her family will forever treasure. She enjoyed camping, four wheeling, and golfing with her very close Uintah gals.

Connie adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, holidays, and summer get-togethers, but especially family game nights.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed going to the temple with her husband and other family members.

Connie is survived by her husband, Clark; her three children; and one sister, Sheri (Clem) Merrill of Yuma, AZ; her 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie’s outgoing, fun, and caring personality will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She truly was the heart and matriarch of our family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Uintah Cemetery, Uintah, Utah.

The family would like to thank Connie’s nursing staff at McKay Dee Hospital, especially Mallory, Jacob, and Bailey for their excellent and tender care of our mother.
