Bolton “Bolt” Wilson
Bolton “Bolt” Wilson was a kindhearted comedian that passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
Bolt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and confidante, someone his friends and family could always come to with anything burdensome. Never short of dad jokes and good advice, Bolt will be missed beyond what words can measure.
Bolt Wilson graduated from South Tama County High school in Iowa in 1958 and went on to serve as a tech sergeant in the Air Force for over 21 years. He then met Donna, his sweetheart and life partner, and her kids, and they were happily married in November 1974, and have been ever since. In the top 5 things Bolt was known for, working hard was one of them. He consistently worked multiple jobs and will forever be remembered as someone who went above and beyond to support and provide for his family.
In his free time, Bolt loved making people laugh and woodworking. He’s remembered for his beautiful projects given to friends and family, and always having a solid dad joke up his sleeve for anyone who needed a pick-me-up. He was always willing to help with their church, offering rides to their friends, cooking for the men’s prayer breakfast, and contributing anywhere else he could.
Bolt is preceded in death by his mother Edna Wilson, his father Virgil Wilson, and his sister Lois Wilson Woods.
Bolt is survived by his loving wife Donna Wilson, and his children, Tom Wilson, Scott Wilson, Russell Paceley, David Paceley, Dawn Ventrone, and Linda Challinor. He is also survived by his brother Bill Wilson, his sister Mary Rodman, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Myer’s Mortuary in Roy, Utah. An additional viewing will be held at Roy Christian Church on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:45 am, with the funeral following immediately after from 11:00 am at Roy Christian Church.
Bolt will be greatly missed by all who know him and will be thought of daily as we remember all of the light he brought to our lives. Even though his friends and family lost someone near and dear, the angels gained a giant.
