Robert “Bob” Penman Marigoni, 90, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 19, 1932, in Ogden, Utah to Mary Penman and Henry John Marigoni.

Bob married Barbara Irene Stoddard on August 10, 1951, in Hooper, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on December 11, 1952; together they had 4 sons and raised their family and were lifelong residents of Hooper, Utah.

He loved farming, ranching, pick-up trucks, tractors, farm equipment and horses. He raised beef cows and always kept horses to go along with the cattle. He taught his boys how to work, and he always had a smile on his face and made it fun. His goal was always to “Work Hard” - “Play Hard.”

To supplement the farm, Bob worked at the Ogden Stockyards for 10 years, Cutter Laboratories for 15 years and Iomega Corporation for 10 years as the Warehouse Shipping and Traffic Manager.

Bob taught himself to be an Auctioneer, he especially loved auctions for charity and fundraisers for kids and less fortunate people. During the winter, he kept himself busy plowing the snow from his neighbors’ driveways with his tractors. He was always willing to help everyone with whatever they needed, and he would with a smile.

He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.) for 50 years.

Bob loved spending time with his family. He went to every activity he could with his kids and grandkids. They were his pride and joy. He loved sports and coached various teams of basketball and softball for family and co-workers, was involved in the Jr. Posse, and loved to hunt pheasants and ducks with his sons and friends and would go often.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stoddard Marigoni; his sons, Gregg (Nancy Jacobs) Marigoni, Brent (Debbie Staker) Marigoni, Roger (Susan Holm) Marigoni, and Mark (Audrey Clark) Marigoni; 12 grandkids and 26 great-grandkids.
