Maria Ana Duran

Ogden – Maria Ana “Anita” Duran, 87, was returned to her heavenly Father’s loving arms on August 17, 2023.

She was born on April 17, 1936 in Cameron, TX, the oldest daughter born to Blanca Vela and Candelario Duran. She had 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

She spent her youth in Texas, moving her young family to Ogden, UT in 1970. She created a vast family network including close friends. She loved camping and spending time with her family. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh.

She is survived by her children Alberto (Lonnie) Garcia, Robert (Linda) Garcia, Blanca “Estella” (Francisco) Holguin, Rosa Maria (Isaiah) Cortez, Mandy Garcia, Joel “Jojo” (Casey) Garcia, LeeAnna Garcia, Tovin (Delia) Rueda, Rolando (Valerie) Rueda, and Taurino “Tee” (Stacie) Rueda. She was proud of her 48 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son Emiliano Campos.

The bond between mothers and their children is one defined by love. As a mother’s prayers for her children are unending, so are the wisdom, grace, and strength they provide to their children.
