Suzanne J. Deakin

Suzanne Jenkins Deakin, our loving mother and grandmother, age 73, passed away May 4, 2022. A resident of Ogden, Utah, she was born May 11, 1948, to Ryan Kent and Wilma Bell Jenkins of Plain City where she was raised.

Suzanne was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, had numerous callings over the years, and loved attending the temple. She graduated from Weber High School and retired from the State of Utah, Division of Child and Family Services. She was an avid book reader. To all who knew her she was warm, kind, and welcoming.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She was always involved and interested in their lives and was the best listener. She was an example of humility, compassion, and selflessness.

Suzanne is survived by her daughters Staci (David) Jones, Juanita (Filkinson) Filfred, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and her brothers Scott (Becky), Mark (Marianne), Glenn (Jane), Jay (Barbara), and Lee (Bonnie). She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Suzanne will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, 1:30 p.m. at Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton St., Ogden, Utah. Viewings will be Friday, May 6, 2022, 6-8 p.m. and prior to services 12:30-1:15 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Plain City Cemetery, 4373 W. 1975 N. Plain City, Utah.
