Keith Delbert Moulding

Aug 22, 2022

1941 – 1922

Keith Moulding passed away July 16, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada after an extended battle with COPD with his daughter Marci Loftin by his side.

Keith was born February 9, 1941 to Golda (Illum) and Delbert Moulding in Ogden, Utah. He was the oldest of seven children and set a high bar for his siblings to reach.

Devoted father, brother, and friend, Keith will remain in our hearts as a testament to his goodness and generosity of spirit. Keith loved to help and lift others. He would always ask “how can I help?” even during the difficulties of his own challenges. Keith put other’s needs before his own and when you became his friend, you became his friend for life.

He graduated from Ogden High School in 1959 and completed two years at Weber State College. He was a member of the Utah National Guard and trained at Fort Ord, California and Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Keith married Judy Park in 1962 in Ogden, UT. They later divorced but remained good friends until his passing. While working on his father-in-law Bill’s horse ranch, Keith developed a love for Hybrid Quarter Horses. He became an award-winning show horse trainer and showman in the Western United States.

During his teen years, Keith worked side-by-side with his father at the family construction company, Suburban Homes. After his father’s passing in 1963, Keith worked in the real estate insurance business which took him to Oregon and central California before retiring in Las Vegas.

Keith married Carol Loftin in 1980 in Oregon. This brought Keith’s two step-daughters, Marci and Lindi, into his life. Their son Kody was born the following year. Keith and Carol later divorced but remained dear friends.

Keith’s greatest love and passion was his gifted son Kody. Keith fearlessly and tirelessly championed Kody through the social service agencies of California and Nevada until Kody passed away in 2019.

Keith had a passion for meeting and talking to people. In “retirement” he enjoyed working at the Boot Barn in Las Vegas until his health prevented it. His other passions included horses, black & white TV Westerns, computers, and flying computer flight simulators.

Keith was preceded in death by his son Kody, daughter Lindi, parents Delbert and Golda, brother David, sister Sue Ann Eskelson, brother-in-law Shirl (Sid) Eskelson and Sister Carol Fritz (Tony).

Keith is survived by his daughter Marci and brothers LeRoy, Robert (Bob), Mark and Sister- in-law Rhela Moulding.

There will be a short grave-side service for Keith on August 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.
