Christmas Village lifer appointed honorary mayor of Ogden holiday destination
OGDEN — An annual holiday tradition for people living in Weber County and beyond is set to return this month. Sixty-two years after the concept was first hatched, the Christmas Village in downtown Ogden will make its 2024 debut with an opening gala to be proceeded by the Holiday Electric Light Parade on Saturday. Before visitors tour the several dozen decorated cottages that dot Ogden's Municipal Gardens on Historic 25th Street, though, someone must throw the switch on the village's lights.
