PHOTOS: Invasive Phragmites torched at Ogden Bay as part of eradication effort

A prescribed burn was conducted at the Ogden Bay Waterfowl Management Area in western Weber County on Tuesday. The burn was the first of several planned for the coming weeks targeting invasive Phragmites reeds through the coordinated efforts of the Weber Fire District, the Utah Department of Natural Resources' Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands and the governments of Box Elder and Cache counties.
