Research points to rising rates of alcohol consumption, especially by women
Every four minutes, someone in the world dies from drug or alcohol addiction, and the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down. In fact, drinking has been on the rise, particularly among women, since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a recent study led by the University of Pittsburgh. “We anticipated finding some increase in hospitalizations for alcohol related complications among women.
