Arrest made after patron shot at Ogden bar Friday night

OGDEN — A man was booked into the Weber County Jail over the weekend in connection with a shooting that occurred at a bar Friday evening. According to an affidavit of probable cause, 40-year-old Carlos Mendez was arrested Saturday on suspicion of firing two rounds into the bar, which wasn't named, striking a male patron in the process. Mendez allegedly entered the bar at around 9 p.m. Friday, the arrest document stated. He later reportedly was seen on camera "sitting at the bar and staring at another male."
