Ogden woman set to ring in the new year as a centenarian
OGDEN — As the clock's hands move toward midnight on Dec. 31, people in Weber County and throughout the world will raise glasses of champagne — or, at the very least, sparkling cider — in jubilant celebration of the calendar's passage from 2024 to 2025. At the same time, one Ogden woman will be celebrating her 100th year. Fern Heath was born on December 31, 1924 in Crescent, Oklahoma, and she has been a resident of the Beehive State since 1978.
