(MATTHEW HATFIELD/Standard-Examiner) Layton firefighters, in green, and Utah National Guard members, in tan, work Monday to clean a Layton home exposed to phosphine gas. The home was exposed to the gas when rodent pellets placed on the ground outside the home reacted with moisture, producing the gas, which then seeped into the home, killing a 4-year-old girl and putting her 15-month-old sister in intensive care.
