OGDEN — The day after a mother and her live-in boyfriend brought a 9-month-old boy to McKay-Dee Hospital on Sunday, the boyfriend is in jail.
Ogden Police officers arrested Apolinar Flores, 37, on suspicion of aggravated attempted murder and second-degree child abuse, Lt. Danielle Croyle said.
The child suffered from traumatic head injuries and had to be flown by LifeFlight to Primary’s Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
The hospital placed the victim on life support. He is listed in critical condition.
On Monday, detectives interviewed Flores and booked him into Weber County Jail, where he remains without bail.
Croyle said there is a hold on the suspect’s immigration status.
