Man arrested following stabbing

OGDEN — Police say alcohol played a role in an early Saturday morning stabbing that took one man to the hospital.

Nathan Baca, 19, of Ogden, was arrested on multiple charges following the incident.

Ogden Duty Lt. Will Cragun said police were called to a house on the 3100 block of Brinker Avenue at 3:19 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a 21-year-old man who had been stabbed in the midsection of his back.

The man refused medical attention from police officers and was later taken to the hospital by family members.

As police attempted to arrest Baca for the stabbing, Cragun said, he punched an officer in the head. Officers had to use a Taser to get Baca under control.

Baca was arrested on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, domestic violence toward his live-in girlfriend, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

He was taken to Weber County Jail.
