Bountiful council approves new golf carts

BOUNTIFUL -- The city council approved the purchase of 11 new electric golf carts for the city-owned Bountiful Ridge golf course.

In action taken recently, the council approved the purchase of the carts for $31,183. The transaction includes a trade-in allowance of $8,000 for 10 used carts. Funding for the new carts comes from user fees generated by the course and not from the city’s general fund. Bountiful has no debt for the course and user fees fund the maintenance and operation of the course.
