Bountiful OKs phone, data agreement

BOUNTIFUL -- City officials have approved a new three-year phone and data service agreement with a local provider for $2,430 per month.

In action taken recently, the city council approved a contract with Integra Telecomm. The service will cost less than the existing contract with XO Communications, which cost the city $3,200 per month.

The contract will be served through Sumo Communications Inc, according to Alan West, information systems manager.

Integra was one of five companies contacted to get a proposal for service for the new contract.
