Bountiful council gives approval for power purchases

BOUNTIFUL - City leaders have approved expenditures totaling more than $159,000 to boost the inventory of transformers, 46 kV switches and a 1/0 primary cable for the Bountiful City & Light Company.

The city council approved three separate power company purchases during a recent meeting, voting to buy 37 overhead and pad mount transfers for $79,331 from H.D. Utilities in Salt Lake City, as well as spend another $24,600 to buy 10,000 feet of primary cable from Codale Electric in Salt Lake City and $55,230 to buy a 46 kV switch for the 138kV substation project.
