Committee seeks nonprofit status

NORTH OGDEN -- The city's parks and trails committee is one step closer to becoming a nonprofit organization and is just waiting to have its status approved by the federal Internal Revenue Service.

The change is coming so the committee can enforce the easement that Barker Park will always remain park space and nothing else. City Attorney Dave Carlson suggested the status for the committee so the city could still partner with the committee to help with the park
